● As programma manager I am responsible for leading a team of 10 pilicy advisors
(Academic and Highschool +); generalists and specialists in issues focus on liveability
(sustainable and green, housing, lifestyles, entrepeneurship in neighbourhoods, participation, empowerment, development of strategic instruments and research, guiding processes of collaboration between municapalities, housing asscotioations, residentsorganizations and consultancy) and the secretary of our programme
2002 (1 juli) – 2008 (1 april)
• Senior Policy Advisor
• During this period I was also responsible for setting up so called residents housing workshops in collaboration with municipalities, housing associations and community organizations; during the period of four year I was responsible for fourteen resident workshops in which totally 200 residents have particpate; I have also set up a network of Young Architects and Designers (Dutch, Maroccan, Turkish Moloccan backgrounds) of 50 persons; Now I have set up an innovative project Art in Neighbourhoods; the vision and mission of these persons is working on diversity in architecture and designs and beliefs in talents of residents who will take responsibilities to transform their neighbourhoods in sustainable neighbourhoods in which people wit differnt cultures will have no problem to live with each other;
• I was also responsible for leading a so called National Governement Project (Vital Coalitions) in which Lord Mayors, Board of Directors of Private Companies have participate; I was responsible for one of these thirteen national governement projects (the City of Den Helder, in this city the Carribean population is the most represented)

• As senior consultant I was responsible for the development of methods, researches, leading debates, expertmeetings, processes of collaboration (municipalities, housing associations, residents organizations)
and agenda setting of the issues of housing of multicultaral populations who live in after worldwar two neighbourhoods

INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES
Other interests include experiencing new cultures and travelling, and I therefore
take the opportunity to travel abroad as much!
OBJECTIVES
I really think that my experiences will be very useful but on the other hand for my professional
growth different or similar experiences all around in Europe and in the world is very important to learn more. Each local Community has its own way to face with local regeneration process! So it will be a good experience to transform my experiences in the Netherlands to Lisbon, Portugal and vice versa. I’ll therefore include an essay in which my experiences (vision, mission) has been expressed.
